80% Nickel Permalloy is a soft magnetic alloy primarily composed of approximately 80% nickel and 15% iron, featuring ultra-high initial permeability and extremely low coercivity, making it one of the most excellent soft magnetic materials for weak magnetic field applications. Our 80% Nickel Permalloy strips are available in typical grades 1J79 and 1J85 (comparable to ASTM HyMu 80). Manufactured using vacuum melting and precision cold-rolling processes, our strips can be produced as thin as 0.02mm with customizable widths, suitable for various precision magnetic core components.

KEY FEATURES:

• Ultra-high initial permeability, μi up to 30,000–100,000+, offering extremely sensitive response in weak magnetic fields;

• Extremely low coercivity, Hc as low as 1.6 A/m, minimizing energy loss during magnetization and demagnetization;

• Near-zero magnetostriction, ensuring minimal dimensional change during magnetization and excellent dimensional stability;

• Excellent magnetic aging stability, with low magnetic performance degradation over long-term use;

• Resistivity of approximately 55–60 μΩ·cm, effectively reducing eddy current losses;

• Excellent workability, with high plasticity supporting stamping, etching, winding, laser cutting, and other processing methods.

• Precision current transformers and magnetic amplifier cores, for high-accuracy current/voltage conversion and signal amplification;

• Magnetic shields and shielding components, protecting sensitive components in avionics navigation instruments, medical MRI equipment, and other precision electronic devices;
