80% Nickel Permalloy is a soft magnetic alloy primarily composed of approximately 80% nickel and 15% iron, featuring ultra-high initial permeability and extremely low coercivity, making it one of the most excellent soft magnetic materials for weak magnetic field applications. Our 80% Nickel Permalloy bars are available in typical grades 1J79 and 1J85. Manufactured using vacuum melting and hot forging/hot rolling processes, our bars are offered in various specifications including round bars, square bars, and flat bars, suitable for various precision magnetic structures and electromagnetic components.
KEY FEATURES:
• Ultra-high initial permeability, μi up to 30,000–100,000+, offering extremely sensitive response in weak magnetic fields;
• Extremely low coercivity, Hc as low as 1.6 A/m, minimizing energy loss during magnetization and demagnetization;
• Near-zero magnetostriction, ensuring minimal dimensional change during magnetization and excellent dimensional stability;
• Excellent magnetic aging stability, with low magnetic performance degradation over long-term use;
