Permalloy wire is a soft magnetic alloy wire primarily composed of approximately 80% nickel and 15% iron, featuring ultra-high initial permeability and extremely low coercivity, making it one of the most excellent soft magnetic materials for weak magnetic field applications. Our Permalloy wires are available in typical grades 1J79 and 1J85. Manufactured using vacuum melting, hot forging, cold drawing, and intermediate annealing processes, our wires are offered in various diameter specifications, suitable for various precision electromagnetic components and magnetic devices.

KEY FEATURES:

• Ultra-high initial permeability, μi up to 30,000–100,000+, offering extremely sensitive response in weak magnetic fields;

• Extremely low coercivity, Hc as low as 1.6 A/m, minimizing energy loss during magnetization and demagnetization;

• Near-zero magnetostriction, ensuring minimal dimensional change during magnetization and excellent dimensional stability;

• Excellent magnetic aging stability, with low magnetic performance degradation over long-term use;

• Good electrical and thermal conductivity, suitable for electromagnetic induction and signal transmission applications;

• Excellent drawing workability, with uniform diameter and smooth surface finish, meeting precision winding requirements.

• Precision resistance elements and strain gauges, for sensitive components in high-precision measurement instruments and sensors;

• Magnetic shielding braided meshes and shielding sleeves, for electromagnetic interference shielding in cables and electronic equipment;
