Permalloy cut cores are open-type magnetic cores manufactured by winding Permalloy strips, annealing, and then cutting the toroidal cores into split configurations. Featuring high magnetic permeability, low coercivity, and low core loss, they offer the advantage of an open structure that facilitates coil winding and assembly, making them ideal core solutions for precision transformers, instrument transformers, chokes, and various electromagnetic devices. Our Permalloy cut cores are available in two material series: 80% Nickel (typical grades 1J79/1J85) and 48~50% Nickel (typical grades 1J50), offered in full-cut, half-cut, and pair-cut (split-core) configurations. Custom sizes, materials, and cutting methods are available upon request.
Cut Type Descriptions:
